Chris writes science fiction and fantasy, as well as nonfiction for writers. She has has a brand new children's picture book about her service dog, Oski. To date she has nine published works.
After growing up in California and graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, Chris married a U.S. Air Force officer and moved from state to state, as well as to British Columbia, before settling in Colorado. She now lives in the woods of the Rocky Mountains with her family, her service dog, Oski, and her retired service dog, Finn.
Chris loves coffee, dogs, action movies, mystery and suspense novels, hockey, and Top Chef. She enjoys visiting new places and, in addition to living abroad in Canada, she has traveled throughout Europe and the United States, as well as visited Mexico, Iceland, and Brazil. When at home, she likes to cook and bake, and usually has a cooking show keeping her company in the kitchen.
She's not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination, and she isn't one for keeping any kind of regular schedule, much to her morning-person-husband's dismay. She drinks a lot of coffee, especially when she's writing, which she likes to do in binges. She can write almost anywhere, but her usual writing spot is a comfy chair at home where she has a great view of the outdoors, the only sound is the wind in the trees, her coffee cup is in reach, and her dogs are snoozing by her feet.
